Titles approved for use
Doctors in the 'Register of Specialists' may use titles like Specialist - [Specialty] or their approved title from Annex A.
Doctors on restricted scope of practice
Doctors on restricted scope of practice must clearly state their limitations and avoid misrepresenting their specialty to comply with Section 65 of the MRA.

This document is for doctors who are residing overseas, and provides information on CME, PC, name removal/restoration from/to SMC registers, personal particulars updates, and SMC election exemptions.
Reduced Practice for fully registered doctors
Doctors in Reduced Practice have lower CME requirements and limited prescribing rights. They must apply online and can resume full practice after meeting CME criteria within 24 months.
Removal of name from SMC’s register(s)
Doctors who fail to renew their Practising Certificate (PC) for over 2 years and cannot be contacted will be removed from SMC’s register. Doctors may also request removal if no proceedings are pending.
Restoration of name to SMC’s register(s)
Doctors removed from SMC’s Register must apply for restoration with a fee before practicing in Singapore.
