Results of the Singapore Medical Council Elections 2013

The Singapore Medical Council (SMC) Elections 2013 were held from Tuesday, 3 September to Friday, 20 September 2013. The elections were held to fill two (2) positions in the Medical Council arising from the end of term of office on 10 October 2013 of the following members:
a) Dr Chua Swee Boon Raymond
b) Dr Ooi Choon JinFive candidates stood for the elections. Out of the total of 8428 fully registered doctors eligible to vote, 8288 doctors (i.e. 98.3%) cast their votes. The number of votes received by each candidate who stood for the elections is as follows:
